More about us

Trinity Tax

Trinity Tax provide specialist advice in relation to contentious areas of tax law, including employment status, IR35, the operation (including penalties and appeals) of the Construction Industry Scheme, the Managed Service Company legislation and the Agency legislation (s44 ITEPA 2003).

We have a wealth of knowledge and experience in this field and ensure our clients get clear and concise advice and can have confidence in their compliance over these complex areas of tax. We have written extensively on these subjects including 2 books for Bloomsbury Publishing and other articles for Tolleys, Simon’s Tax Briefing, Bloomsbury, Taxation Magazine and Accountingweb.

Trinity Tax are also the employment status, IR35 and CIS appointed experts for organisations like TaxAction, Professional Fee Protection and the 6 Figure Bookkeeper.

We can provide seminars upon request and training as well as tax tribunal representation.

The areas of tax law we advise in are grey, and it is very difficult for a taxpayer to know they are 100% compliant, even with the best will in the world. This is not fair or just, but it a result of a complicated tax system. Trinity Tax give their clients peace of mind, knowledge and power over these issues so they can grow their businesses with confidence and not live in fear of HMRC.

SARAH CARSTENS

Sarah Carstens started out in the accounting profession, working at Grant Thornton before moving into tax consultancy in 2006 where she was a Senior Tax Consultant at one of the leading practices for employment status and IR35 disputes.

She forged a solid reputation in the industry for her ability to defend HMRC enquiries and her technical abilities with regard to the Construction Industry Scheme.

Sarah is meticulous in detail and gets as much satisfaction out of defending her clients with HMRC as she does sitting in front of a spreadsheet of numbers (yes she is one of those strange number crunching type of people). This attention to detail can work wonders though and has saved her clients a lot of money, time and stress over the years.
